3 months and parents come to visit

My parents came and helped us get settled into our new house the first of January. It was so nice having them here. My mom helped so much with getting things organized and watching the boys. My dad did lots of heavy lifting and lots of long walks, seeing as we did not have cable or internet yet, that just goes to show how much he loves me seeing as it is playoffs haha. If dad was missing we knew he was out walking. Its so pretty around here, I cant wait to get a jogging stroller and for the weather to get warmer so I can take advantage of all the nice walking trails.

The boys also turned three months! Time has gone by fast but also slow if that makes any sense :). They are both doing really well, I think they are over 14 lbs ( i weighed them on my scale). We don't go to a doctor till February so I don't have any stats on them yet. Tate is my good sleeper but more demanding when he is awake, Porter is not that great of sleeper but is very calm during his awake time. They are both FINALLY sleeping in their own rooms! Im so happy that we moved into a house where they don't have to share a room with me anymore. They are only waking up once in the night around 3:30 then wake up at seven for the day. Just yesterday they both decided it was time to roll over during tummy time! I got porter on tape, but now they wont do it today at all.. of course :). The boys overall are pretty good babies and we are some lucky people to have them and claim them as ours :)

Christmas and moving

We went to New mexico for christmas this year to be with Chase's family. I was so nervous about the drive because these boys HATE their car seats. Running errands is a nightmare, if one cries it wakes up the other one and they just both keep crying, but I cant carry two babies at once so its kind of hard to get out and do stuff.. anyways :) the minute we get in the car to go to new mexico they fell right asleep and slept the whole time! I was in shock! I thought we had a break through but once we got back to Utah it was hating the car seats once again. So, back to Christmas, it was so nice to be with everyone. All the siblings were there and their kids. It went from two grandchildren to 6 since last christmas. It was fun with all of us staying in the house together. Many great late night game nights and dance parties, and of course I did not charge my camera before we left so we have no pictures so I stole some from chase's sister. We stayed there 4 days and came back to move out of our apartment and into our new house. We had to move in two days so thank goodness our amazing friends Stacie and Jared that came and helped us! we are mostly settled in now, just have to finish the house decor. Going from a two bedroom apartment to a six bedroom house, it makes you realize how stuff we need! but in time :)

My amazing friend Megan took the boys newborn pictures. Since they were in the hospital the first 3 weeks of life we didn't take their pictures till they were a month and 1/2 old. This was not ideal, I defiantly recommend taking them that first week of life! lol the boys were not having it. We woke them up from their nap, and I was thinking well they will just fall right back to sleep during the shoot.... No, they decided to stay up the whole time and cry, so mad at me for waking them up early ( hey its my first time I didn't know any better :) ). I felt so bad for Megan, she came to my house, brought the best props, and we could not use them :( the boys would not go on their stomachs, they would not sit by each other, Megan defiantly had her work cut out for her. But to my surprise she still had good shots! that just goes to show you how great of a photographer she really is.. Check her out.. she is amazing!

Two Months

I have not had a lot of opportunity to blog these days. The boys are still on a three hour schedule and I just cant seem to get them to sleep longer at night. Some nights they go 4 hours then they go back to three. They wake up at the same time still, even if they go later in their feedings. Its so funny to me, because they are sleeping in different rooms now. I had to move them because they just would not nap together, they make to much noise!

The boys are two months old now. It has gone by so fast! It amazes me how much they have grown. At their two month check up Porter Weighed 10 14oz and was 21 1/2 inches long and Tate weighed 11 lbs 1 oz and 21 3/4 inches long. They are still only three ounces apart but I swear Tate looks so much bigger to me! He must just keep those three oz in his cheeks. Porter is still my more stubborn sleeper. He gets so tired but fights it till his last breath, its so funny he cries for a while then all of a sudden he is out. Tate on the other hand is getting so good! I can tell when he is tired at his first yawn, I then wrap him up and put him down, most times he goes down with out crying but if he does cry its for about a minute.

Porter is a daddies boy. He loves Chase, its hard for me to get him to laugh but when Chase gets home he lights up, shows his dimples and literally laughs so hard. He will even put off feeding for a while just to sit with Dad. Tate is more of a feed me now kind of guy, he wants his food the minute he wakes up, will cry until he gets it then when he is done he will give you the time of day.

They are both still really gassy, but since I switched formulas it doesn't seem to hurt them as much :). Tate just got diagnosed with acid reflux. My mom came in last week to help with the boys and help us move ( that is a whole other blog post). She came at the perfect time, the boys had to get their 2 months shots, so she was there to help with that, then Tate all of a sudden started crying so hard during every feeding, he would not take the bottle and it took about 2 hours to feed him. It was the saddest thing, so we took him to the dr. got him on some medicine and he is doing much better!

My best friend Chelcie and her family were in Utah and came by to see the little boys about a month ago! I was so excited for them to come over. Chelcie and I are two weeks apart and grew up best friends, We lived at each others houses and our families are like our 2nd families. Her siblings feel like my siblings and her parents are like my parents. We would go on family vacations together, have our birthday parties together and basically do everything together. Since I live in utah I never see the Clawsons as much as I would like, so I was so excited for the boys to meet their "other" family.

My sister Lori then came to stay with me for almost a week and help with the boys. I am so lucky to have her as my sister, She is pregnant and has a one year old at home so I know how tired she must of been, but she still took the time to fly to Utah and help me with my babies. I am so appreciative of her and all her help. I miss her so much. Thank you Haws for letting me borrow her for so long! She helped me get the boys on a schedule and try to sleep train them. They are fighters when it comes to taking naps, so it was nice to see her cool tricks and having an extra pair of hands to put them to bed.

One Month

The boys are a month old now.. it has gone by so fast! Granted I have only had them home for two weeks, but it still is crazy to me how old they are now! Nothing really has changed with them, they eat every three hours and sleep and go to the bathroom. Tate and Porter have both peed and pooped while I have changed them. Tate's literally shot out and got all over my clothes and floor, it was during one of the midnight feedings so I was kind of out of it and me and my mom could not stop laughing.

They are still making just as much noise as ever. My mother in law was wondering how i was going to feed them in public, they seriously grunt and growl the whole time, and it is LOUD!. I just love these little guys so much and even though I am the most tired I have ever been in my life, im also the happiest. These boys just melt me. My favorite time of day is around 7, this is when Chase gets home and the boys know it because this is the only time they stay up after a feeding. They are just waiting for Dad to come home and when they see Chase they just stare and smile at him for about a hour, its the cutest thing. Grandma Hathaway and Tate. She stayed here for a week helping me out, she just left today and let me tell you I miss the Grandmas so much! and this is the first day I have not had help. Its a bit of a adjustment! but im handling it ok.

Home Sweet Home

The boys are home!!!!! On Tuesday last week we got the great news that if the boys did good on their feedings then we can take them home Thursday night! Well the boys did awesome and fed with no tubes without wearing themselves out and Chase and I got to take our boys home and actually feel like parents :). It has been an emotional rollercoaster the last couple weeks, and it feels so good that our babies are home. They have being doing so good, despite the fact that they are the nosiest sleepers ever! We have them in our room right now because my mom has been staying with us this whole month and let me tell you, its pretty hard to sleep through their ruckus. If one makes a grunt the other one makes a grunt, if one starts hiccuping the other one starts hiccuping, if one toots the other one toots, and so on.. I have a feeling they will be put in the hall way sometime soon lol. They are pretty funny to watch though.

They turned 3 weeks today and it has gone by so fast. Granted two weeks of that they were in the hospital. Right now my mom has been staying with us but she leaves on Saturday, then Chase's mom comes right after her for a week, then my sister Lori will come after that, but once all the help leaves I have a feeling I might have a nervous break down. My mom has been the biggest help ever. She gets up with me for all the feedings so Chase can rest while he can, she goes grocery shopping, does the laundry, cooks, cleans, and i'm scared that once she leaves and Chase's mom leaves and my sister, I might go a little insane. I honestly am so overwhelmed but people do this all the time right?!?!?!

The boys are drinking out of bottles, so feeding time take a long time alone. I feed one, then the other, then burp them, then put them back to bed, then pump, then they wake up again but once again I am so thankfull so healthy boys, and lets be honest I love to just stare at them all day :). Its so weird how your heart just grows to fit these two boys in it, I love them so much.

Chase has been a great dad. The weekends are his nights with helping me feed and when he comes home from work he takes a baby and just sleeps with them. It is such a nice break. I don't know what I would do with out him and my mom right now.

On October 4th 2011 our life's were forever changed :) I woke up at 7 am to discover that my water had broke! At first I didn't believe it, but I called my Dr and he told me to go to the hospital to make sure. So I called my mom and dad who were in town for the BYU game, my dad was leaving that morning but my mom was staying here to help me prepare for the twins. They came and got me and took me to the hospital. I didn't want to call Chase just yet because he was at work and I didnt want him to drive down if it was a false alarm.

We got to the hospital and sure enough it was my water :). So then I called Chase and told him to come. It was perfect timing because my dad was able to be there for everything. So they checked me in and started my induction. I had to be induced because once your water breaks they want to make sure you deliver within 24 hrs. After 11 hours of labor and not dilating , I was only at a 1, they decided to do a C-Section. This is when it got kind of scary.

They took me back and started my epidural, but instead of going down, the epidural traveled up. All of a sudden I couldn't breath, I couldnt feel my arms, my face, they started me on oxygen and tried to hurry everything up. Poor Chase walked into the room with me not responding and shaking. They were so good though, they did everything so fast only bad thing is I felt the c-section! They couldn't give me more medicine because by this time it would go to the babies. They got my precious boys out and took them to the NICU. They needed breathing tubes the first night but took them off by the morning, which is when I got to see them :). They are just so precious, they have such a sweet bond and just make my heart melt.

They are still in the hospital seeing as they were pre mature, they need a little help feeding. They are on a feeding tube for most of their feedings. I am able to feed the twice a day right now, but as soon as they get stronger I can add more feedings till they get all their feedings from me or a bottle. I am guessing they will be home in a week. It has been so hard not having them here with me, it's such a weird feeling knowing you have these two precious babies but they are not home with you. Chase has been so amazing through all of this, he is such a good dad already. But I am thankful for the great hospital staff that is taking care of them. Thank you for all your love and support through all of this :)

They both have their daddies dimples which I am in love with! they are identical twins, but I can tell them apart pretty easy because Porter is smaller ha ha and yes they did all these poses by themselves.. its so precious to witness.

The song " Changes" by David Bowie has been in my head for the last couple weeks. Building a home and about to add two little guys to our family really changes your life :)I can not believe that this pregnancy is almost over. The Dr expects them to come either the end of this month or at the latest in the middle of October. I feel so ready, but at the same time so unprepared. I was talking to Chase the other day about it, and he made me feel so much better. He basically said nothing can prepare you for twins, you just have to do what you can and that im not the first person to have twins. lol Its so true, people do this all the time, I CAN DO IT!! LOL.

The fact that we are in the process of building our home and that we will be moving in the middle of all this makes it a little more stressful. I think that's part of my "unprepared feeling", I cant set up the babies room's because we are moving. I just hope these little guys stay in as long as possible and come out healthy. I'm still working which has been a little difficult, I am starting to waddle everywhere and the babies are sitting right in my ribs which makes it hard to sit up straight but other then that im feeling pretty good. I also don't fit in my scrub top anymore and since i only have a couple weeks left of work I'm not going to buy a new one, so I'm just wearing a Ideal Image shirt haha.

We still have no names picked out, but we are narrowing them down which is a good sign! Chase really has been so good during this whole process, we talk about all the changes that are going to come soon and he honestly makes me feel so much better and calm. Thank you Chase for being so patient!

I told myself I would be better at taking pictures of these two little boys, and I have not been good at this task at all:) I decided I would make a effort and take them before church today ( and plus my sister in law reminded me last night I needed to take some). So here I am at 30 weeks with two cute little identical boys. They sure love to stretch out, both of their heads are down and all four feet are at my ribs. It's wonderful ;). Tomorrow I get another ultra sound to make sure they are doing great. The great thing about twins is that you get to have a ultra sound every two weeks! Its heaven. No names picked out yet, I just call them baby A and baby B. They already have different personalities. I love it. So here is the huge baby bump in all its glory and mom who is loving them more and more every day.

I went home for my first baby shower :) It felt so nice to get away and go down to see my family. I wish Chase could of come too but he is a working man now :) I flew down Friday night, all of us girls went and saw Harry Potter and then on Saturday was my shower and man was it amazing! seriously I am so thankful to everyone that helped throw it. It was at my best friends chelcie's house and if you know the Clawsons you know that they can throw a party :) Marsha went above and beyond! I was so shocked! It was seriously like a wedding. Chase was so amazed when i sent him pictures he couldn't believe it. It was so good to see old friends that I have not seen in forever and to catch up with everything. I think that was my favorite part, was just seeing all the people I have missed the last couple years. On Sunday we celebrated my wonderful dads birthday. It was the first birthday party I have been able to celebrate with everyone in a couple years so it meant a lot to me to see everyone.

20 weeks

So my sister has been giving me a hard time because I have not taken one picture of my pregnancy so far. To be honest I have dreaded it.. I was feeling so sick and tired that I never got ready and just felt blah. I am feeling a lot better now but still super tired so when I come home from work I just go straight to bed. I figured I should just take a picture while I'm at work with my iPhone just so I have a least one picture so far! And lets be honest, I'm going to probably get really big with two of them in there so it might be kind of fun to see how big I get lol ( that's just what i keep telling myself) so here you go Lori, just took this today at work!

Changes..

Life for Chase and I is all about changes lately. He started a new job, I moved down to our Orem office so I can be closer to my Dr. and take it easy. We had a little scare about 3 weeks ago. I started bleeding a ton, went to the hospital by my work in Salt Lake, spent all day there to find out the babies are OK which was such good news, but that I have a low Laying Placenta, which if I overdo anything it causes bleeding. They say 90 % of the time it moves, so nothing to worry about. So after a some bedrest and the hospital bill we decided it will be good to be closer down here for my job at the moment :). The dr. just told me no exercising or overdoing anything right now. I'm just glad everything is ok.

We also bought a lot! We are building a new home :) we are so excited. We bought our lot last week and we are finalizing the house plans this week to start building. Its in South Jordan. My favorite thing is that it is right under the Oquirrh sTemple. Such a pretty View from our front yard. And to top that off it was our third year anniversary yesterday! We are saving our money so we just spent the day looking at our lot, went to lunch and saw Pirates. I can not believe we have been married for only three years. I asked Chase what his favorite thing has been since being married his answer was " hanging out with my best friend, its so cool!" haha I have to agree, I love just hanging out with Chase, he truly is my best friend and it is so cool lol.

For our anniversary we decided our present to each other would be to find out what these cute little babies are! So yesterday morning we went and got a cute little video, pictures and are just so excited to have TWO LITTLE BOYS! I joked with my dad that us kids are making him a football team. This will make 7 boys and one 1 girl for grandchildren on my side, but on Chase's side its all girls so to have two little boys is super exciting! I just am so excited. I have always wanted boys first and to have two makes me excited and nervous. Im really excited for what is to come with Chase and I, with so many good changes I could not be happier right now!

There are so many fun things about surprises.. The excitement of them, the feeling when you first find out, the nervousness, the unknown. These feelings all past through Chase and I when we went to our first Dr. Appointment. We found out we were expecting our first baby in March. We could not be more excited! It was perfect timing Chase is graduating, he got a job, im ready to be done working :) haha but we all know we cant plan everything. We went to the dr apt. when I was 10 weeks along which was April 4th. They were so nice! I know I am going to love my Dr.

At this office they do a Ultrasound on your first Apt which I loved! As were in there I noticed two little dots, and if you know me I always jump to the worst conclusion, I thought it was not a real pregnancy, poor little Chase though that it was just a double shot of the baby. Then our nurse yells "there are two babies in there!"

I thought she was joking till she showed us the heart beats of both. I guess I should of looked at Chase more cause the minute the nurse looked at his face she could not stop laughing! and no, we were not on any fertility treatments or medicine ( everyone asks us that ).Needless to say we were both shocked, surprised, excited, nervous, but I could not be more happy. I think the nurse told everyone the story cause as we walked around and met our Dr. everyone was just looking and laughing. I know this is going to be a lot of work, I know that it will be hard, but honestly...TWINS!!! Im so excited. They are due in October, we get to find out the sex on June 2nd. We can find out earlier but honestly we don't want to pay the extra bucks to find out cause lets be honest, we are going to have to save every penny we have from now on to prepare for these little munchkins.

Things I want to remember about my first trimester..

1. I feel every pain in my body. I have always been sensitive to the way my body feels but during pregnancy im extra sensitive, always random cramping, muscles being pulled, needless to say once I found out I was having twins this made more sense.

2. I didnt get sick till 8 weeks and then it hit. I am still super sick but lets hope it lifts a little bit

3. I hate cooking! Cooking makes me gag lol and if you know me this is sooo weird!

4. I am so tired all day everyday, I can fall asleep anywhere now where as before you could not catch me falling asleep unless I was in my bed.

5. Not loving any spicy foods, chips and salsa, all my favorites! Im hating them! Everything taste a little different in my mouth now.

6. Poor Chase is all I have to say for this one....

7. I feel like im not grumpy but I sure do have a shorter Fuse

8. I get lot's of headaches

9.I love being pregnant! might not seem like it as you read these but I love seeing my stomach grow just a little and know I am taking care of two little babies.

10. I have to eat carbs right when I wake up and go to bed or else I get sick. Cereal has become my best friend.

11. In and out protein style cheeseburgers have been my food of choice.

12. Always keep trash bags in your car... Always... :)

Cooking is one of those things that just relax me. I LOVE IT! I'm always looking for a new recipe to make. For Christmas my mom gave us the best gift ever.. a family cookbook! now if you know my mom you know what an amazing cook she is. Everyone knows "Barb's famous cooking", and she gave us a cookbook of all her famous recipes. My sisters decided they wanted to do a blog of us going through the family cookbook. The Beehive State

It looks like we will be staying in the "Beehive State" for good :) I never thought I would be in Utah for as long as I have.. I have always felt like California girl at heart, but I have lived here for over seven years and you know what.. I actually love it here :). Chase got a job that will relocate us to Salt Lake. So we will be moving out of Provo probably once our lease is up in August and move up north. We are really excited about this. The place Chase got a job is an amazing company! I am so proud of him!!!! We both love this company and feel so good about this. I will miss my family, but this just gives them an excuse to come to Utah more ( im thinking cabin in park city haha). I was joking around with my sister that her family vacations will always have to be in Utah now and no exotic places like Hawaii lol and im going to have to get a credit card with flyer miles. The good part of this is that I still have family here that live in bounitful and now that we will be closer hopefully I will get to see more of them now, which im excited about!

Chase and I secretly watch the show on TLC called toddlers and Tiaras ( OK so now its not a secret). This show is one of a kind, it is so crazy what these parents put their kids through! If you have seen this show you know what I'm talking about. But it is addicting to watch, mainly because it is so shocking. The little girls, oh I feel so bad for them, they look like teenagers and their six years old! But anyways, I saw this on Jimmy Kimmel and it is hilarious! It is just like the show! Gotta love Tom Hanks. The end of this video is my favorite :) Enjoy!

Chase's Brother Mckay and his amazing wife Lo and their little one today. Lo was a trooper! she was due on Friday but little Cora was being stubborn and wanted to come 6 days late :) They ended up having to do a C-Section, which is actually a good thing because Cora came out at 9 lbs 9 oz! She was a big baby! and oh so cute!!! We went and saw them at the hospital tonight and everyone was doing so well! I was shocked at how good Lo looked after all that! She is one tough cookie! I'm so excited for this new addition to our family and that they live just down the street :)

V-Day

I was so excited for Valentines day this year... cause it was the first time I have not worked on VDay for three years! ( except for last year cause it was a Sunday but same thing lol) So I laid in bed, read my book, the goose girl, which i loved and bought all her books after reading it in two days.

Chase walked in with flowers, chocolate and his cute little grin. Then we went and got a couple massages. Can I tell you how much I love massages! I got Chase hooked as well, its our own little treat to ourselves. He was jealous because I got the strong looking masseuse and his masseuse was like 90 pounds but he still said it was good. Chase then went and took a test while I did my Monday errands. That night we got Carrabbas to-go ( I hate eating at restaurants on valentines day cause I hate crowds) watched the bachelor and ate this amazing fruit pizza i made and got the recipe from one of my fav. food blogs melskitchencafe.com. Seriously it is one of the best fruit pizza's I have ever made! All in all it was a great day and just felt so nice to relax with each other. I hope everyone had a good day!

Fruit Pizza recipe

Dough:
1/2 cup butter, softened
2/3 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Zest of 1 lemon, divided (use the other half for the frosting)
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt

Frosting:
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Fresh lemon juice from 1 lemon (1-2 tablespoons)
Other half of lemon zest from above

Any of these Fresh fruits would be good:

Strawberries
Raspberries
Blueberries
Pineapple
Peaches
Kiwi

I just used strawberries. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 10-inch tart pan with nonstick cooking spray. This will give a fairly thick crust. If you want a thinner crust, try using a larger pizza pan shape or a 9X13-inch pan

For the dough, in a large bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until smooth. Mix in egg, vanilla, and 1/2 of the lemon zest. Add the dry ingredients and mix until just blended. Press the dough into the prepared pan.

Bake the dough for 10-12 minutes, or until very lightly browned. Don’t overbake as the crust will become dry. Cool the crust on a wire rack completely. In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add the granulated and powdered sugar, vanilla, lemon juice, and other half of the lemon zest. Spread on the cooled pizza crust to within 1/4-inch of the edges. Arrange fruit on top of the pizza. Cover lightly with plastic wrap and chill until serving time and enjoy! Chase ate the whole pizza in one day, that is how good this is! hahaha

Clipper Game

While we were home we also went to the clipper game. My dad has season tickets to the clippers and Chase has never been! Can you believe that! So it was a must... The whole gang went ( minus kori and brad who couldn't go :( )My mom and dad, my brother john and his wife brooke ( they got a babysitter for their kiddos), My sis Lori and her husband Haws and they even brought their little 6 month old baby James! I was super excited cause I called dibs on holding James the whole time. People gave us crazy looks as we went to our seats, I can tell they were thinking.. why did they bring a baby.. the noise is going to make him cry! Little did they know that first of all James is an amazingly good baby, second of all Lori bought him these head phones where it blocks all the sound out, he could not hear a thing! It was soo crazy! he even fell asleep by half time and slept the rest of the game! he looked soo cute people were even taking pictures of him with their cell phones, it was classic. It was a fun time, we went to dinner before the game at this really good restaurant at the JW Marriott right by the staples center. We ate at this special table that was made out of wood placed right in the middle of the restaurant, it was really neat.

Disneyland and New Years

I just had to go to disneyland when I was home. It is one of my favorite places and I have not been since we have been married. So this was on Chase's and I's to do list. A plus was that my parents bought us day passes for christmas so that made it even more fun :) haha. They had Disneyland all decked out christmas still. My favorite was the Haunted Mansion, they had it decorated like the nightmare before Christmas it was really cool. We had a lot of fun and got there bright and early because my mom said it was going to be so busy! And she was right.... We got there at 8 and hit indiana, splash mountain, haunted mansion and thunder mountain by 10 30. Then all of a sudden the park got crazy! all the fast passes got sold out, lines for evey ride was at least 2 hours, we heard on the news that they stopped letting people into Disneyland by 12 because they were full... so we went to space mountain and traveled over to california adventure to finish the day. It was sooo much fun! Disneyland just makes me happy :)

Chase begged me to let him ride this... too funny the little girl next to him kept saying her horse was faster.. lolA bugs life.. such a great 3D film! it is a little scary for little kids though, we heard at least 5 babies crying during it, but Chase and I enjoyed it!

For New Year's we had a pajama party! I am so mad because none of us took pictures, i only took some of my adorable niece and nephews. It was a blast. We had the Clawson's, King's, and us Davis' over. We made Cafe Rio food, Ate a ton, played games, and just hung out. I have not seen most of these people since I have been married and I just loved seeing them.. it makes me miss home sooo much! One game i think everyone should purchase is called Things... I just bought it at walmart. Such a fun game! It defianlty brings out something funny in everyone :)

Christmas time!

I got two weeks off of work for Christmas which was amazing! It was the longest I have ever gotten off since working here for over two years.. We took full advantage of it, family time, Disneyland, new years even parties, lots of movies. The minute we got home we went to my sister Lori's house. I had not seen James since he was born, he had grown so much! This is Chase and I playing with him... Giving Chase a welcome home present :)

Christmas Eve we went to my brother Johnny's house and had dinner, did the nativity scene, opened pajamas, and had lots of fun family time. The boys just love dressing up its sooo funnyChristmas day we all ate breakfast with at my parents house, opened up our presents and then went to my Grandmas for the annual Christmas day feast. So much fun! you can never go wrong with family, the name game, and doing Christmas chimes. It all went by way to fast. I have been looking forward to this for so long, and now that it is over it makes me really sad. Chase did really good this year, of course he always does so good with presents, he really is like the best present giver ever. He spoiled me, but I'm not complaining.We also got a Ipad from my parents... im obessed with it! This Christmas was just amazing... Lukey doing his superman...Opening presents.. Temple Lights

Oh the temple lights... I just love this time of year when we can drive up to Salt Lake and just feel the christmas spirit. We started our day eating lunch at Chipotle. So good!! Then we went and saw the Joseph Smith Movie which never gets old I love that movie, I think I even caught Chase shedding a tear :). We then went and walked around the temple and the lights. After that we did a little shopping and finished our night off at Chilis! We were starving but just felt like appetizers so we thought Chilis would be just perfect!

Gingerbread

I know I am horrible at posting on this blog, but there really is not much going on when your husband is in school and you work full time. For thanksgiving we went to chase's parents house. I had to work the day after thanksgiving and we would have to drive back on thanksgiving day. But Chase's parents were sooo nice they moved thanksgiving to Wednesday just so we can be there to celebrate and it was wonderful! Of course we did not bring a camera but the whole family was there and it was nice to see everyone.

The other day we got the usual gang together and did our annual gingerbread house night. I am soo bad at building gingerbread houses, I dont know if its my lack of patience or what but my

house always ends up falling apart. This year they had a bet on how long it would take for me to destroy it, needless to say my house actually stayed up this year! Now that i have the building of it down, I just have to work on my decorating skills haha. It was a fun night filled with family, the best holiday movie Home Alone, and some yummy pizza!

The finished result! Lo and Mckay did awesome they had a sled and everything! Ali and Will did a whole village which I was so jealous of I have no idea what Chase's and mine was but it was fun!

Pumpkin Carving

So we did our annual pumpkin carving. I know it was a little early but I could not wait! Needless to say my pumpkin has already started to go bad.. but this was my plan all along so I have an excuse to carve another pumpkin next week haha

Fall

This is provo Canyon in the fall... we are so lucky: :)Fall is finally here...

It has been raining all week, I have put a new scentsy smell ( honey pear Cider its delicious!) and tonight we are carving pumpkins with our traditional crew while we watch our traditional movie Hocus Pocus (pictures to come next post). I just love this time of year, I always have. Nothing new has been going on so I have no Idea what to post about :). Im still working and Chase is still in school, this is his last big semester though and next semester he just has one class and he is done! I dont know how i feel about that yet. I am super excited in some ways but in others im kind of scared. Where will we move to? Where will he get a job? What is like going to be like outside of provo? I have been here for six years now and finally getting used to it. But i do miss home, but who knows if we will even end up in California? So many exciting yet nerve wracking things to come!

And anything pumpkin!!! I love baking with pumpkins.. i got this recipe from sisterscafe.blogspot.com last year and it is soo yummy!!

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies

Cream together:

1/2 cup white sugar

1 cup brown sugar

1 cup butter, softened

Then add:

1 cup pumpkin

1 tsp vanilla

1 egg

Sift together dry ingredients then add to above wet mixture.

2 cups flour

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp pumpkin pie spice

1/4 tsp salt

Add 1 cup milk chocolate chips. Bake cookies at 350 degrees for 12 minutes. Allow to cool then frost.

Icing:

In saucepan, heat 3 Tb butter and 1/2 cup brown sugar over medium to med-high heat until bubbling and thick. Cool 10 minutes. Stir in 1/4 cup milk. Add 2 cups of powdered sugar and beat until smooth.

Last but not least I am so excited to make this tonight! Its raining and this is one of Chase's all time favorite soups I make so I thought I would share the recipe :) I make a few minor adjustments to make it a little healthier such as turkey bacon and fat free sour cream and cheese. But I would recommend trying the real recipe first with out modifications, best Baked potato soup ever!

Ingredients

12 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
2/3 cup margarine
2/3 cup all-purpose flour
7 cups milk
4 large baked potatoes, peeled and cubed ( cook in oven first)
4 green onions, chopped
1 1/4 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions

In a stock pot or Dutch oven, melt the margarine over medium heat. Whisk in flour until smooth. Gradually stir in milk, whisking constantly until thickened. Stir in potatoes and onions. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently.
Reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes. Mix in bacon, cheese, sour cream, salt, and pepper. Continue cooking, stirring frequently, until cheese is melted.

I am so excited my little nephew is here! My sister Lori had a beautiful baby boy on Wednesday night after 35 hours of labor! They finally ended up doing a C-Section, he was just to big for my sis! I love him so much already! Chase and I were lucky enough to fly down Thursday and stay till Monday night, of course I forgot to bring my camera and did not get any pictures so I stole these from other people.

I am so excited for our 2 year anniversary this weekend. Chase was amazing and got us a sweet deal! ahhh! Just going to relax and lounge, it sounds like heaven. We are staying at the hotel park city, they upgraded us for free to a cottage suit that has a jacuzzi on the balcony, jetted bath tubs ( if you know you me you know how much I love baths! I take one every night haha), and they gave us a $80 dollar gift card to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, and a free massage!I love my husband more then anything, I can not believe that it has only been two years, He honestly has so much patience with me and my sensitive side :) especially over this last month when I have been on an emotional roller coaster, he has told me every day how beautiful I am and it means the world to me especially since I know this scar on my face is not the most faltering thing :), I love how he loves to tease me, I act like I get mad, but I secretly love our teasing relationship, I can tell him anything I am thinking and he does not judge me or try to fix it he just listens( this took a while for him to do cause at first he loved to give a solution but now he knows I just need him to listen which he does great at now!) , I love his little quirks like his pouting face, his need to play a game of xbox every night before bed while I watch some kind of Disney movie, how he has to have lotion on his hands always or else his hands feel funny and he cant touch anything, how he is such a perfectionist ( I cant wait to build our house cause I know its going to be perfect!), how important his family is to him, he loves them so much and always likes to feel in the loop with the going on's with all his siblings,how clean and organized he is... Chase I love you, thank you for all your support and love these last few years!

My surgery was two weeks ago and I actually have enough energy to talk about it now. Just a precaution this is going to go into detail of the surgery. My sister in law wanted me to put pictures up of how it looked, I have been deciding whether or not I should because the only pictures I took were with my phone and when I looked the ugliest to send to my family so we will see... :)
Here is how the day went... My lovely mother took me to the doctor's at seven in the morning, there was four of us there that day to get the same surgery done and I was the only one under the age of 85, but they were so nice and funny. So the doctor takes me back and cuts out some of the side of my nose and then sends me back into the waiting room. As I wait I watched movies and read some books, then he calls me back and there is more he needs to take, I do this a couple times where he takes it out and tests it then brings me back in and takes out more. I guess it was growing pretty big, he was even surprised on how much he had to cut out. So he keeps cutting till the cancer is all out.. Six hours later he tells me he got it all! yes!!!! I am so thrilled at this point! no more cutting, no more waiting, everything is all done.

They take me back and start to sew everything up. First he said he had to show me the hole that he cut so he gives me a mirror. Oh my is all I can say.. I was in shock on how big the hole was and almost started crying, but I resisted..He started stitching it up but realized the towards the top it was pulling way to much and he ended up having to cut a pretty good size of skin from the front of my ear to do a skin graph on my nose, because if he just sewed my nose up it would make me look really deformed and pull my skin to tight. So he he cut by my ear and put it on my nose and sewed it up. Its amazing to me that they can take skin from anywhere on your body and it can just attach somewhere else... pretty cool. Two hours later he shows me the end result all the while my mom is sitting in the waiting room.

He gives me the mirror and I Don't know if its because it has been just a long day, my mom was there, and I was so swollen, but I just start crying! I mean I was crying so hard they had to put the chair down and strap me in, in case I was going to faint. The doctor and nurses were sooo nice! They held my hand and just comforted me. Then he goes to tell me that he has to sew the bandage to my nose so there is enough pressure to make the skin graph heal better. So I'm sitting there, I'm not numb any more and he goes to town sewing it to my eyebrow, nose, and cheek. It kills! Then he goes and grabs my mom and the minute she comes in I start cry even more! hahaha. Now I am done, I just want to go home at this point. So Here I am on the drive home.....My mom called me cyclops :) Don't be too scared of this picture I was sooo swollen on my whole face and neck and I just got done crying..Look how its sewed to my eyebrow.. ouch!

My mom was here for 3 wonderful days, I honestly don't know what I would of done without her here.. She cooked and took such good care of me. Her and Chase were an awesome team. I almost fainted the first night, and the pain meds made me sick and throw up. But after a couple of rough days I started feeling better...I couldn't remove the bandages till the next week so for a week I had a bandage sewed to my face and it drove me crazy! I had to go back to work the next Tuesday so he took it off on Monday and here is what it looked like...

I am at work now and I think my nose helps me close a sell haha I get the pitty sale haha. But its healing so much faster then I thought. I think he did a awesome job! The skin graph will take a couple months to heal and The scar will probably be really noticeable for about a year but other then that I am feeling great and cancer free!

Here I am today, I am still bruised and my eye is still swollen, same with my nose. I cant wear any bandages or make up over my skin graph, But all the edges are healed its just the very center that is still not great. You would not even guess that I had stitches all the way down to my nostril and up to my eye. My doctor really did a good job and blending in the scar, cause all I can see right now is the skin graph and not the rest of where he put the stitches. I think my doctor did a great job.. u can barley see the scar on the left side of my face!

I honestly have the most caring husband, family and friends in the world. Every day I got flowers from someone in the ward, work, or my friends. They cooked me meals, sent me cookies, brought me cold stone and my visiting teachers made me home made salsa and chips! That is my favorite snack of all time. I just want to thank everyone for keeping me in their prayers, I truly felt all your love and I am sooo thankful!!!! Thank you everyone!!!!!!!

Surgery

Well I am sitting here in the waiting room at my wonderful derms office. They just took some of the cancer out and are testing it to see how much more they need to take. My brother in law was kind enough to lend me is computer, so I can sit in the waiting room and watch some great chick flicks that my mom brought me last night. Hmmm.. what movie to watch... I have a lot of choices...The scarlet Pimpernel, Becoming Jane, Emma, Miss Potter, or the Queen. All movies Chase is probably thankful that I am watching them alone and not making him watch haha. They say i will wait about 1 hour and a 1/2 then go get more taken out. I will keep everyone posted. As of right now I have a swollen face and my eye is swollen shut but i think its just because of the numbing stuff, and I have a great looking bandage covering the left side of my face. IF only Chase can see how pretty I look now haha! My spirits are high and I am no longer scared, just thankful that I am getting it taken care of. Lets just hope I don't leave looking like this! haha

Life always loves the throw us some curve balls to keep us on our toes. Today I found out that i have skin cancer on my nose. Thank goodness we caught it early enough to where it didn't go internal, but in two weeks I am going to have to go in and get surgery. They wanted to do it right away but i am taking multi vitamins and they want to wait till they are out of my system. So in two weeks my mom is going to fly out here and take care of me while I sit around looking like Frankenstein. I guess they have to cut open my cheek and side of my nose, then keep digging it out till there is no evidence of skin cancer remaining and do some sort of skin graph. I was scared at first, I have to miss work, and I am so afraid of what my face is going to look like once its all done. But luckily they can take it out, that is a positive! I am so thankful for medicine and the technology that can get me cancer free :). But I was feeling pretty down on my way home from the doctor... i just kept thinking of what kind of scar it will leave and just throwing myself a pity party :) but i came home this...

I don't know how he knew how bad I needed this today, he was taking a final so could not be with me at the doctors, but Chase had my favorite candy, flowers and the nicest card laying out on the table when I got home. He honestly just made all my fears go away.. and I Know everything will be ok :)

For some reason I really like this holiday.. I wonder if it is because I have an excuse to pinch people... especially my husband and of course I forgot to wear green today to work! so I made myself a green name tag. Our first guest today was our radio DJ that does advertising for us, Kevin Cruise from U92. He got pinched like crazy from all the nurses here.. you gotta love it :) Every st. Patrick's day my mom would make corn beef and cabbage.. I hate cabbage but i loved the corn beef and potatoes! I wish I had the time today to cook it.. but I don't so I guess ill just have to live with it :) I hope everyone has a great day! Remeber to wear green!!! :)

Yummy Oatmeal Bars

My old Roommate for three years, Tori, taught me this recipe while we lived together. She always had the best recipes! It is a huge hit! Every time we have a get together or people want me to bring something for dessert they always request these oatmeal bars. Even my friend Michelle had me bring these to the hospital right after she gave birth! haha So I thought I would post the recipe so all of you can enjoy this amazing recipe and become popular :)

Oatmeal Bars

2 cups of melted butter

2 1/4 c. of brown sugar

3 cups of Quaker oats

3 cups of flour

1 1/2 tsp of salt

1 1/2 tsp of vanilla

Mix all ingredients and put half of the mixture spread out on a cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 8 min.

Then combine :

1 jar of butterscotch

2 Tbls of flour

Pour on top of baked oatmeal mixture then add 1 cup of chocolate chips and 1 cup of butterscotch chips and put evenly on top of mixture. Crumble remaining oatmeal mixture on top and bake for 15-20 min.

Take out and enjoy! I like to do it at least 3 hours before or the day before I take them somewhere, but some people love it right out of the oven ( it's just harder to eat)

"Dead"

no, my blog is not dead, haha I have just not had the time to blog, plus my work blocked our Internet so I cant blog at work anymore :). Just a few things to catch up on for my wonderful blog journal. My whole family is wanting updates so I will just give a few..

California..

We went to California for Thanksgiving this year. It was great! we did our annual walk on the beach thanksgiving morning ( which I think is always my favorite part of the Holiday). Spent two wonderful days with family seeing movies, going out to eat, working out together, and just relaxing. I love going home, I miss my family more then anything.. thank goodness for Skype!

New Mexico..

This was my first Christmas away from home this year and I am so thankful I have such awesome in-laws! It honestly made it so much easier to be away from my own family and to have a family I love as much as Chase's. This was the first Christmas in five years all the Hathaway's were together! It is fun learning new Christmas traditions, so Chase and I can combine them and make our own for our children. We stayed there for four days and had game nights every night ( which the girls always won ) and ate Delicious New Mexico food! I love Yevette's Garden, she always has such great fresh vegetables and Salsa! yummy!

Valentines day-

This year Chase is finally letting me go to pirate island pizza! For those of you that don't know what this is, its awesome! its like chuck e cheese but pirates! there is a big ship and talking pirates and yummy food! I am such a little kid at heart and have been wanting to go for months! Thank goodness his nieces are in town so I actually have an excuse to go. So tonight i talked all the siblings in to going with us as well :)

Chase has two more semesters to go in school, and he is loving learning all the things there is to know about construction. Every time we drive he points out something he sees that has to do with his classes.. its pretty funny. My mom loves when she drives with him :)

I have been doing good at work and still loving it. They asked me to fly to Florida to our corporate offices this week and asked if they could film me doing a consultation so they could use it for their training. I was really flattered but I had to say no.. Its Valentines weekend!

Biggest Loser-

My parents, Chase and I are making a goal to loose weight together and in August my dad is going to treat us to a get-away vacation. I am so excited about this! I gave up Diet coke! I know, I had a headache for about three weeks :) haha. It has been really fun doing this with everyone and calling my parents for motivation and I am surprised at how easy it is when you actually have people doing it with you.

Chase and I went and saw this movie tonight. First of all I love Sandra Bullock and Chase loves football so this was a perfect movie for us, and I must say it was great! Such a feel good movie, about giving and in the spirit of thanksgiving I thought this movie was perfect, so all of you go see it!!!

I just love the Fall..I love the smells, the leafs, the crisp air. Everything about Fall just makes me happy. And of course we need to have our annual carving of pumpkins with McKay and Lo. I love this tradition we have with them. We carve pumpkins and watch Hocus Pocus. It is fantastic. and yes, the boys are wearing my aprons to they don't get pumpkin all over them haha

Lately people have been asking me why I don't put recipes on my blog anymore.. to tell u the truth I forgot I used to do that! so my new goal is to put one new recipe a week on my blog. I am all about great quick meals, seeing as I work all day and don't get home till seven I want something I can cook fast or leave in the crock pot all day. This last year I have been on a kick where I try at least one new recipe a week, and it has not failed me yet! ( well maybe once :) ).

So here is the recipe for this week:
Sweet and Spicy slow cook chicken
I love slow-cooker meals. They are easy, low-maintenance and usually quite delicious. This met all of the above criteria! Sweet and spicy shredded chicken served in flour tortillas with lettuce, cheese, tomatoes and sour cream. The chicken was moist and flavorful and was the perfect solution to a weeknight meal that needed something more than your average, everyday taco.

1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breasts1

(14 ounce) can petite diced tomatoes, undrained

1/3 cup brown sugar

1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Coat the inside of your crock pot with non-stick cooking spray. Place all ingredients in the crock pot. Cook on high for 4-6 hours or on low for 8-10 hours, or until chicken shreds very easily with a fork. Season to taste with salt and pepper. (Chicken will absorb liquid after it is shredded.) Serve in tacos or however your little heart desires. I love serving the taco in the uncooked tortillas from Costco, they are the best!! you just heat them up on your stove for about 30 seconds!

I get a four day weekend! I am so excited yeah!!!! I get Saturday off and since Monday is a holiday we get paid so I get take Tuesday off so I don't get overtime, I'm loving life right now. I'm so excited to relax, hang out with family ( chases sister and her husband will be in town ), watch the big BYU game, and enjoy the rest of summer.

I got a call from our Regional Manager on Friday, told me I was going to Florida on Sunday and spend two days in our corporate offices with our CEO and other employees.. So I jumped on a plane flew to Tampa Florida, stayed in an awesome hotel where the Jonas Brothers were staying as well :) When I told chase this he reminded I am almost 25 and married haha I had a great two days with everyone, then flew back last night. I am tuckerd out.. I am at work right now and I cant seem to function, but it was a great trip, I learned a lot and its always nice to get your mind refreshed. I love the company I work for.. if any wants laser hair removal this is the place to come!!!!

Montana

Oh it was so lovely being away for the week! I can not begin to describe how much this vacation was needed. Tuesday night my mom and grandma drove from California and stayed with us then we all drove together Wednesday to good old Montana. It was sooo good to see everyone!!! I have missed them all so much. It was so nice of the Bendheims to have us. We ate lots of yummy food, played games, and were on the lake all day. Chase got up for his first time ever on the wake board! thanks to the help of peter, redge, john, and brad :) they were great instructors. It was nice to just wake up in the morning, go on walks, come home and just walk down to the lake. And all three of my nephews were loved like crazy. Chase and I were so excited to see them! little Lukey just loved chase, i think its because anytime i couldn't find Chase he would be in the play room with Luke or Joshua or Tanner, chase loved playing with those boys. It was a great trip and chase and i loved every minute ( except the night he got heat poisoning... that wasn't fun). Who knew my dad and his best bud Allen King were such a great rappers :) He is not in the first video but check out the next two. He is Bob Davis, the GET man :) oh how I love him and his awesome mustache! no wonder why he kept his commercials from the old dealer ship hidden from me when I was young, but thanks to youtube I found it years later :). These were made in the 80's and how I wish I knew about them back then. And if anyone needs a Chrysler, Jeep or Dodge you know where to come now.. the GET man!!!!!

The fourth

What a way to celebrate our independence :) Chase and I spent all day together which is a first in so long, so we relaxed had fun then went and BBQed it up with our good friends Rand and Chelsey and our cousin Rory and his daughter Shaylee, Marielle had to work but she joined us later. We went up the canyon and had a BBQ at the prettiest park.

We then went down back to Provo and watched the stadium of fire firework show with another another couple in our ward Lauren and Tyson,

as Rand was singing the theme song "stadium of fire" haha, Marielle got to take a break from work and joined us as well.

All in all it was a great day, spent with great friends and amazing food. Of course we did have to wait two hours before driving back home because traffic was so bad. Hope everyone had a great fourth! I can not wait till Wednesday, we are going up with my whole family to Montana :) i cant wait to see everyone!!! I'm so excited!!!!

One Year!

I am a little late on this but I have not had much time to blog lately. Chase and I celebrated our one year anniversary on May 30. I cant believe how fast the time goes! I love him more and more everyday and I am so thankful for him and all he does. We celebrated first by getting massages :) I love massages! We got a couple massage before and I told myself I would never do that again... looking over and seeing another women rub your husband isn't something

I want to see again, so this time we had our own rooms :) we then went to Park City for the

weekend. I loved it, we stayed at a Marriott and it was our own little villa with a kitchen, fire place, two bathrooms, It was perfect!!! we spent the weekend eating, sleeping, going on the

Alpine slides, watching movies and just spending a care free weekend with each other. It was the best! It is funny, even though Chase and I have not been together that long, I don't remember what my life was like before him. It feels as though we have always been together. He is my best friend and makes me laugh everyday and I cant wait to spend many more years together! We were alone on our anniversary together so we don't have any pictures together, so sorry everyone!

Well today is Fathers day and I am missing my dad terribly. My dad is one of those men who hate being bragged about but today I think he will forgive me :) I can not begin to describe how much my dad has done for our family and for everyone that comes into his life. He truly is one of the most caring and giving men I know. My dad was the young men's president for 12 years and now he is in the bishopric of a singles ward in California, and I can not begin to describe how lucky I feel when young kids from my old ward, and now the single adults that I grew up with come up to me and tell me how much they love my dad and how lucky I am, which I already know :). He has taught me so many things in my life and I thank him for everything, even though he was the first person to ever fire me, putting a 14 year old girl who was boy crazy in charge of the files for his dealership , but he still loved me even though it took years to get those files back in place :) I love his sport analogy's when he gives out advice, how he always sees the good in people, how he is always striving to be better and to have his family be better, his love, his example, his generosity,his humor, his teasing, his bad singing, how no one feels like a stranger when they're around him. The respect he gets from everyone in the business. He taught me how to work hard and how to sale :) My dad always lets us lean on him, listens to us, and is there for us no matter what, his example of how a marriage should be and how he treats my mom and the love they have for each other is something I have always looked up to. He is one of a kind and I'm lucky to call him my Dad.

More then two years ago for one of my Public Relation Classes we had to take pictures around our campus for advertisements for UVU. Who would of thought that almost three years later these pictures would still be popping around! My banner is still around UVU, and sometimes at work I get a guest coming in and looking at me funny then eventually say, "Hey are your pictures up at UVU?" as i shy away and admit it. I honestly don't like it and yes I was reading the book twilight at the time (you can see it on my desk in the pictures), and just the other day my mother was reading LDS magazine and came upon my picture! so funny, I guess it was worth the A i got in class!
On a side note this last Saturday was Chase and Mine first year anniversary! we had so much fun and I just love him more and more everyday! Chase is the best hubby and cutest in the world :) ill do my next post on our little get away to Park City.

It was Chase's little sisters birthday a week ago and we celebrated by eating some yummy cake that Lo made with her new cupcake pan. Chase's brother McKay and his wife Lo are just amazingly talented and the cake turned out so cute!

We played this fun game called Buzz word, its so fun! really good for a big group. There really is nothing else going on in our life's besides Chase being done with school semester! YEAH!!!! I'm still just working away, but now I'm working in Salt Lake which has actually been really fun, I just hate the drive. We have started our P90X workouts and diet and we love it! its only been a week, but i can tell I'm already having so much more energy! It is fun doing it together as well, we motivate each other which is really nice. My family is coming in town this week to see me walk at my graduation!!! I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!

I think just about everyone knows how much I love Musicals! I try to watch one at least once a week.. Chase just loves it haha. Just the other day he walked into me singing and dancing along to the movie Bye Bye Birdie, you know the part where there singing "Going Study" for which I actually did a dance to when I was young for my jazz class, anyways, I found this on my cousins blog and I just loved it! Julie Andrews makes my day and I honestly would of loved to be at this train station and witness this! I probably would of jumped right in with them. Oh I just loved it.. happy day...

On a side note we still have not started our P90X work out! im starting to become really impatient, but it should arrive in the mail any day now, but in the mean time Chase and I have not gone grocery shopping seeing as we dont know what food to buy, so we have been living off top roman and grilled cheese haha.

So Chase and I have been trying to be really good about working out together and eating right, it has been kind of hard seeing as I dont get home till about 7:30 everyday from work and the last thing I want to do is go to the gym and cook something really healthy, but these last couple weeks we have been doing ok, but we still can do a lot better. So we have been looking into the work out/diet of p90x. It actually looks awesome and you can do it all from home which means I can do it before work with out much hassle! So, as I am becoming more interested in it, a lovely lady from my ward tells me her and her husband are doing it and she loves it! so I get even more excited, but then she tells me about the diet... it is soooo much protein and no carbs the first couple weeks! Now, i love my bread so this might be hard for me. But I think it might work, so bare with us as I might rant on here about how much chocolate and chips and salsa im craving :)These people are basically what Chase and I will look like when were done :) hahah yea right!!!!

My work just told me they were going to send me to North Carolina in a couple weeks to do some training and even though I should be excited about this adventure I'm a little scared... First off, the plane ride is longer then 6 hours, which anyone who knows me knows this will be torture!! I have restless leg syndrome and I will be by myself, which is not a good combo :) This will also be the first time I will be away from Chase since we have been married, and be in a city I don't know and be by myself! I'm actually looking forward to this adventure, even though it will be only for a couple days it will be fun! and they are paying me extra which will be nice :)

Our cousins Rory and Marielle have the cutest little girl Shaylee. Now, I like her to call me "Auntie Dana" even though she just turned one and does not know what I'm talking about or even know how to say it yet, but that's besides the point. Chase just loves to remind me that she is my cousin not my niece.. but I still cant get enough of the little thing! Every time we hang out with them I honestly just want to squeeze her the whole time! So, one Sunday night while we were having an XBOX Indiana Jones Marathon, Shaylee made me so proud... As most of you know I LOVE Diet Coke and cookie dough ( yes, I know, great combo:)) Anyways, this particular night I was drinking my Diet Coke while making some cookies and I set my coke down for one second, then I turn around to see Shaylee just standing there looking so innocent, CHUGGING my Diet Coke while eating the cookie dough! Don't ask me how the cute little thing got into that but all I can say is

Like Auntie, Like Niece :)

She just poured that Diet Coke so fast that it got all over her ( shirt, pants, hair and who knows where else!), she couldn't even finish eating her delicious cookie dough! haha ( sorry about the stain Rory and Marielle!)

Busy Christmas 2008

This year was my family's turn to do Christmas. It was soo good to be home, I love being with family and old friends. But first here is a look at Chase and I's first Christmas tree. I usually get a real one but this year we went with the fake because I was to lazy to take it down before we left :) We drove to California and went to my grandmas for Christmas eve. We are so lucky to have such a great close family with all of us and our cousin's its always a eventful evening.

We also went to see the movie Australia which I highly recommend!!! It was such a feel good movie and all the boys loved it too!

After a short weekend with my family, we flew to Washington D.C for Chase's brothers wedding. It was short and cold but an amazing trip! I loved walking around the town and seeing all the monuments and museums. I love that most of it is free! The wedding was beautiful and we had tons of fun! We almost did not get to see the white house because we were not sure if we had time but Chase was very persistent and said the one thing people will ask me is if I saw the white house and I want to be able to say I did! haha so we made a trip to go see it and it was worth it :)

Living La Vida Loca

Life has been crazy!! I'm in my last week of school forever!!! I cant believe I am finally graduating! With Work and school and our church callings, our life's have been pretty hectic. So i'll try to catch you up on the last month! Chase and I took a trip to California to take family pictures with my fam, and the Clawsons were nice enough to have us stay at their beautiful Cabin! The boys played some Wii while us girls ate and went to see Twilight. It was a nice quick weekend and good to see my family, I haven't seen most of then since the wedding! We then went to Chase's home for Thanksgiving. It was the first time in like five years since the kids have all been there! So, it was a blast!! Their family was nice enough to have Thanksgiving a day early seeing as we had to drive back to Utah on Thanksgiving day so I could be at work. Thanks again Hathaways! that was so nice of you!!!After the traveling, we have just been studying and getting ready for Christmas, it finally snowed here yesterday! I was starting to get really sad because I love the snow ( I hate driving in it) but it is so pretty to look at :) Oh, Chase and I also went to Disney on Ice :) I loved it and so did Chase haha!!! I recommend it to all of you!!!! Well wish us luck this last week of school, I better pass all my classes!!! Third row baby! thats how we roll :)

So this morning I woke up to Chase saying "Dana, what are you talking about" and I come to find out I was talking in my sleep all night! I don't think I have done that sense I was little. Chase has never heard it so he thought it was the funniest thing. He thought I kept telling him to get out and to stop touching my hair haha but in reality I was having a dream that my mom kept trying to cut my hair :)! My mom would always catch me talking in my sleep when I was younger. My sister and I used to share a room and she would always hear me saying the funniest things in my sleep, one time I woke up and my sister said I kept saying "please pass the butter". Haha who knew I would be a sleep talker! It makes you wonder what you really do in your sleep....

Football Games

The main thing that I look forward to when I know a BYU football is coming is that most likely my parents will be in town!! My mom and Dad come up for the games and I love it! My whole family lives in California and my siblings get to see my parents all the time, that I really enjoy the times they come up here so Chase and I can enjoy them too :) It has been fun having them come up and hang out in our little apt. playing games, eating good food, and watching movies. They came up last weekend with their friends the Willinghams. We went to Park City with them and had a blast. I also don't remember the last time I have sung that loud before, Doug Willingham and myself were singing duets to the movie Mannequin. It was classic. All in All it was a great weekend and I cant wait to have a rematch of Catch Phrase when there here next!! Loving the moose Our favorite hats of all time!haha The cowboys couple ( the Willinghams)

Pumpkin night

I love the holidays! I seriously cant get enough of them, especially when there is good food invovled :). Chase's little brother and his fiance Lo came over, and his little sister Ali to come carve pumpkins! We had a fun night seeing as we dont get to get together very often with our busy schedules. I have to admit i am not good at carving at all! My bat i carved looked like it was cripled and of course everyone elses looked great! and i got my Houcs Pocus fix! We watched that as we carved, it felt just like halloween and I loved it!

Over this last weekend Chase and I went to the BYU football game with his old mission buddy Chris (He is single ladies)

and his old roommate Bryce. Is was FREEZING!!!! but a great game and fun to be with the boys!

Then our good friends Rebekah and Nick cooked us a great meal that night. Their little boy Gunner loves Chase! I just love his little cheecks. The next night we hung out with our cousins Rory, Marielle and their little girl Shaylee I am seeing a organized marrige with Gunner and Shaylee :) they would be so cute together! Chase and I have been very content with not having kids seeing as we can hang out with these cute ones all day long!! So i think that will be our plan for the next couple years.. people keep having babies so we can play with them!!!!

I was talking to my dad for a while yesterday ( I love you and miss you Dad) and he asked why I have not updated my blog lately, and I honestly have no idea why I have not! We have been super busy with school and work I feel as if there is nothing interesting to blog about. But then Chase reminded me that we just got Disney on Ice tickets!!! haha I love Disney and Chase is nice enough to come join me next month to watch the Disney on Ice 100th year anniversary! I am soooo excited! So this post to our families, we want you to come visit us and bring our nieces and nephews and come watch Disney on Ice!! We miss you guys! I am also soo excited about this month being Halloween. I decorated in September for it ( that's how much I love the holidays) so this week we will watch Hocus Pocus and next it will Pratical Magic ( Chase is thrilled :)) and I even do more for Christmas so Chase better get used to listening to Christmas music pretty soon because as soon as it snows its coming on :). I just love the holidays they make me so happy and I hope everyone is having fun with it all as well! Were going to a haunted house pretty soon with our friends Nick and Rebekah.. I cant wait!!!!! Yes, it is true, I married a younger man and let me tell you something.... it is the best thing I have ever done!!! Today Chase turned 24 ( i am three week older :) ) and I just wanted to dedicate this blog post to him! We have not had a camera because we had to change the battery but we got a new one tonight so sorry, no pictures of the fabulous day. Chase was a trooper and went to school today but when he got home I had him open his presents and I took him to a surprise dinner.. Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. He has never been and loved it! I warned him that we would not be frequent diners here but at least he got to try one of my favorite restaurants. After dinner I surprised him with having his family come over for cake. Thanks guys for coming! Birthdays don't feel the same with out family there with you!

I am a little late but my birthday was last week and it did not start off to good.. it was my first day of school!!! haha who wants to go to school on their birthday?? but once I got home it was all good.. Chase was waiting at home for me with a bouquet of flowers and was just too cute.. and he got me everything I wanted and then some :) His family was in town so we went out with them that night and went to his cousins house who cooked us the best food! Chase and his brother both served in Peru and so did his cousin Burt who cooked us the great meal, Peruvian food is really good I was surprised, Chase always told me the horror stories of the food he ate on his mission so I did not expect it to be so good. We also had a great ice cream cake that I just loved I dont like normal cake!!! It was a great ending to what started off as not too fun of a day. Both our families were in town last week which made me wish they all lived here! Chase's parents were dropping off his little sister Ali and his brother Mckay to start school at BYU which will be fun having us all be here, and for our niece's baby blessing.I'm trying to get my parents to move up here :). It was so nice having them here, they stayed so close too, they walked to our apt. everyday. We got my parents extra long because my dad got his wisdom teeth pulled while he was here, yes I know who gets their wisdom teeth pulled that old?? haha. It was been a fun and busy time, our apt. is coming together, we get our bed tomorrow which I am so happy about! Once we get that we can start doing some organizing!!!! I started a new job which I love, Ideal Image. I am a consultant for Laser hair removal. It honestly is so fun! I'll post pictures of the apt. soon!!!

New Beginnings

So on Monday morning at 3:20 a.m. my brother Brad and his wife Kori had their first baby! I am so sad that I was not there. I hope I get to meet this little guy soon!! His name is Tanner and is just adorable. I could not be happier for them and Chase and I are trying to make it to California so we can see him soon!!!!!!!!!! Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, i decided my hair needed a little change. I needed to get a good amount cut off so that it can actually get healthy again so i cut my hair! I don't know how much I like it but oh well, ill get used to it :)

It feels soooo good to be back in Utah! I thought I would never say that sentence :) Chase and I got in Tuesday night and are just adjusting back to real life. I met with my school advisor and I am officially graduating this semester! I am so excited!!! It feels good to know that there is actually an end of all this school and hard work. We are still sleeping on our blow up mattress until our bed gets delivered which is not that bad seeing as we put our memory foam on it and waiting for the parents to come up here this week to bring all our wedding presents so we can actually set up our apt. So once everything is all put together we will post some pictures! We got a free couch and I have turned it into my little craft project, I just picked out the cutest fabrics to sew over the pillows, I'm excited for my little project :) I start school on Thursday (which is my birthday) so we will see how that goes! Chase does not start till next week and he is not excited one bit. But if anyone needs a place to stay we have an extra bedroom so come visit us!

ok, not really a jet, im just dreaming :) Chase and I are leaving for a very long road trip back home on Thursday! It is about 23 hours, we are driving to Texas staying the night then leaving early so we can make it to the Airport in New Mexico by two to see his brother Mckay come home from his mission! I can not believe that I have not meet him yet, im really excited! and hopefully his sister Lindsay can come with the new baby girl!! Then back to Utah and school... I am so excited to go back and get back to our normal life. Even though I have loved the experience here in Missouri, I am glad we are going back. I have missed my family and friends way too much and not to mention I am happy I wont have to wake up so early every morning now! So less then one week to get the rest of our sight seeing done here! We really want to go to a cardinals game so ill keep you posted on that.. I will see you all soon and I can not wait!!!!!!!!!!!

Ideal Getaway

Last weekend was the best experience I have had yet since moving to Missouri! Chase, Emily, Lane and I went to Nauvoo. I have been so excited all summer to go and it was well worth the wait! We left Saturday and saw the pageant that night. I honestly had no idea what to expect seeing as I have never been to one before, but after seeing it, it is something I would love to see every year! They had all these fun things set up a hour before the show, three legged race, potato sack racing, wood cutting, dancing, bands, food, and stick pole ( one of Joseph Smiths many talents :) ). Chase and I cutting our piece of wood off, they then brand it with a Nauvoo pictureEmily and I playing stick pole, this is a real action shot, were not posing its so funny!Chaser and Lane trying not to land on top of each other.The BandLane and Emily in a race, that little boy was so cuteLane and Chase became very close on the trip :)

The pageant just blew me away, it was the story of Nauvoo, the saints, the building of the temple, and Joesph Smiths life. They did such a good job, I want to buy the DVD ( Yes you can buy it ). The music and dancing was great along with the acting. The end was really special because they lit up the new Nauvoo temple which was right behind the stage and had Pres. Hinkley's voice talk about it. It is something I will never forget and feel really lucky to experience. We then spent the night in a hotel with Emily and Lane. It was so old fashioned and small, it made the trip that much better!It was so fun, being in a new place, being in a town that is just so different, and hanging out in the hotel room. Then on Sunday we toured Nauvoo, they still had tours on Sundays but they did not do any of the activities they usually do. I want to go again soon but spend more then two days there! It is such a beautiful place and the spirit is so strong. They had a great Buffet there, we ate so much ( Emily and I looking Prego after taking advantage of the huge amounts of food :) )The Temple was beautifulChase, Lane and Emily standing in front of a Statue of Joseph and Hyrum as they were leaving Nauvoo to go to Carthage Jail.

This was in the school house in Nauvoo, that lady was so funny! We also walked threw Brigham Youngs house, Lucy Mack Smith's , John Taylor's, and many more. I loved this town!

We also went to Carthage Jail . This was such a special place. We sang hymns as we were in there and you just felt at peace...I am so happy we went to all of these places and I hope those of you who have not been yet get to go because it really is something everyone should experience. I hope you can read this, it is a great quote by Joseph and Hyrum and I wanted to share it with all of you.

Independence

Chase and I were able to spend the whole day together yesterday!!It was the best! Everyday I go to work around five in the morning and don't get home till three, and Chase does not get home till ten at night, by which time I am ready to go to bed. We have not spent a whole day together in a long time, Sunday's don't count seeing as Chase takes about a four hour nap :). We decided to go to Independence this weekend and go visit the church history sites. I was super excited because I have not been before and Chase was excited to show me everything. We went to liberty Jail and I loved it. I love museums and learning about new things, so this was my favorite part of the whole trip. There was such a strong spirit there as they were talking about Joseph Smith and his stay at Liberty Jail. I learned a lot of new facts about Missouri and Liberty Jail, Did you know that up until 1976 it was still legal to kill Mormon's in the state?? Isn't that crazy! We then hit up far West, it was such a pretty drive. I just could imagine how beautiful that temple will be. We also went to Adam-ondi-Ahman. This was a much needed trip. I loved being there and feeling the spirit and just imagining all the saints that stood right where I was and all the history that was created there. It was wonderful. Chase is such a great example to me and I am so glad that he is just full of church knowledge! The whole drive he taught me so many things I did not know about, I am so thankful to have him help me understand the gospel more. Next weekend were going to Nauvoo and we are going to see the pageant. I'm excited!!!!

Chase and I went on a walk the other night around our neighborhood and we found the most beautiful walk! Right next door to our apts. is a beautiful lake with a path that wraps around it. I noticed that I have not posted any pictures of our place yet so here you go! This is the entrance to our apts... This is the club house.. Its so nice, they always have cookies and drinks sitting out. I always stop by before I go to the pool :)
Here is the gym I go to if I don't have a car to take to 24.. it has a T.V in there that I go and watch since we don't have cable :)

We are going to make this a weekly activity, its so calming walking around, seeing the animals, the people fishing, it's perfect.

Every year on the fourth I always play the song " God bless the U.S.A" by Lee Greenwood and sing it at the top of my lungs, I just love the fourth! Eat all you want, have BBQ's in the sun, watch beautiful firworks, celebrate our freedom and be with people you love. Of course this was my first fourth that I did not go home to California and be with my family and watch firworks at my grandma's which made me miss them so much, but it was my first time watching fireworks with my husband! Last year we went to California and opted to go see Transformers instead of fireworks :) but I told Chase that this time I wanted to actually go and watch the fireworks. Chase and I had a wonderful Fourth of July! and I hope all of you did as well! We went downtown to St. Louis and ate lots of food, people watched, and hung out with Emily and Lane. Emily works right by the arch and her company gave us free parking and we got to go to the top of the building and watch the fireworks from outside. It was really beautiful! I feel special that we already got the hook ups down here in Missouri :) All in All it was a great night!

More Flags, More Fun!

Chase got a phone call from Lane ( Lane is the manager out here for the summer) a hour earlier then their usual meetings and told Chase to come down right away. Chase left and came up five minutes later with a piece of paper in his hands.. Lane had all the salesmen come down and passed out flyer's, the flyer's had Six Flags all over them! We were so excited! Lane took all the guys ( us wife's were aloud to come too :) ) to Six flags for the day for a much needed break! It was such a fun day spending it with everyone. I really enjoyed getting to know everyone who is out here selling this summer and seeing who Chase works with. All the boys work Monday- Saturday from 12 in the afternoon till about nine or ten at night so it was a really nice break. The weather was perfect, cloudy all day with a nice breeze. It was a perfect day for Six Flags! Thanks Lane! Chase had a great idea that after we rode all the rides.. twice :)... that we should go on tidal wave, a ride no one wanted to go on seeing as you get soaked and eventually everyone agreed so before we left the park we hit up three water rides and by the time we left the park everyone in the group was soaked! It was Hilarius.
For this ride I sat in the middle of the boat and had Chase cover me when we went down into the water but for some off reason I came off the ride the most Soaked! you cant see it here, but my pants were dripping wet, my hair was drenched and my shoes were making that gross sound of wet shoes haha but it sure was fun!!!

Missouri... or as I call it, the state of sleeping in fear.. haha. Sometimes I wake up at like three in the morning just to make sure the weather is ok.. Chase loves it :) For those of you that know me, I kind of am a hypocontriact and lately Missouri has been kind of stormy. The tornado siren has gone off two times so far, even though we still have yet to see one, the rivers are about to flood over, and I swear this is the summer Missouri is going to get washed out thanks to a Sunday school lesson I had a couple weeks ago about the clearing out of Missouri. It actually is kind of exciting, and luckily I have Chase here to keep me sane and tell me not to worry, even though he is laughing half the time at me when I get scared.

Here is the outside of our Apt. it was such a pretty night Emily and I decided to be models and show off the beautiful night sky.

This last weekend was really fun. We went to downtown St. Louis and just walked around. The night life here is huge! There is never a dull moment. We also went to the zoo with Emily and Lane. Want to know the best thing about the zoo here? Its free!!! It was a really nice zoo and huge!!! I loved it, I just love animals!!!

Well I have to go, Chase and I are getting Emily and Lane hooked on Prison Break and were starting the first season right now.. I love Micheal Scofield!! :)

I got a job! I have been searching all week for one and yesterday I got one! I'm really excited because I needed a job to where I can walk to work because Chase will need the car for his job. There were not that many options in where I could work seeing as there is one little shopping center, but I'm happy with what i got. Panera Bread! I have worked at these kind of stores before and have loved it and I figured for two months its not that bad! I can walk to work and they are hiring me as a manager!! The guy interviewing me said he would love to have me be a shift manager, which is awesome! I am so relieved now that I found a job just to help us out while we are here in Missouri so we can save more money. The only down fall is that Chase works from about 12 to 10 at night and my hours are going to be 5:30 in the morning ( yes I know, I don't know how I'm going to do it) till about three. So our schedules are not perfect but its only for two months so I think i can handle it :) I am loving Missouri, I'm getting to learn my way around here a little better and they people are so nice and our ward is great too!! There is one other couple here as well that Chase works with and I love his wife! It's fun to have another girl around to hang out with, while we wait for our men to get home from work we either lay out by the pool or watch Anne of green gables, its great :)We have already gone on some double dates and had Sunday dinner with them. Life is good and I can not complain.. I miss you all though! Come visit :)

Well on May 30th Chase and I were sealed in the Newport Beach temple. It was such a beautiful day and I want to thank everyone who was there to share this special day with me and for traveling to be there, it really meant a lot to me.I don't have any pictures yet, but the ones i am posting are from other people's camera. I had a blast at our reception and I hope everyone else did as well! I loved our view.. it was right on the water and Thanks to Peter Bendheim we got to go away on a boat!! It was awesome! This is us leaving... everyone threw streamers and I got stuck about five different times!We have had a busy last couple of weeks and are excited to finally have things slow down. After our wedding we went to San Francisco for our Honeymoon. It was amazing, but really cold! We did a lot of sight seeing, boat tours, went to Alcatraz, and ate lots of good food! We then drove to New Mexico for our open house. It was beautiful, Chase's mom did a great job and the boys worked hard in the backyard building a pond, waterfall, and a gazebo, it looked so good!!! Im sure all that hard labor paid off right boys :)? But reality had to come sooner or later and we drove to Missouri for the summer. It is beautiful here! I really do love it. Chase has worked two days so far and is doing so good, I'm really proud of him. He works really hard and it pays off. Here is Chase leaving to go to work, I make him a lunch everyday and bought him his own special lunch box, doesn't he look so cute:)As for me, I have been applying to random jobs but have not heard back yet so we will see, but I'm still doing my internship. I love having our own place and just enjoying all these new experiences. I will keep you fully updated on everything from now on and post more pictures from the wedding when I get them!

I have been in California since the first of May while Chase is in New Mexico. Only one more week to go till I see him and only 12 more days till our wedding! I'm getting excited! While my mom and I have been doing last minute planning, Chase has been busy back at home working during the day and then helping his dad build in their backyard at night, lets just say I think I have it easier planning :) With everything going on I realized I have not made a post lately! Well this week I had both my showers. I just love getting together with all the ladies! Both of my showers were AMAZING, thank you to all that helped out! We got some pretty good stuff I should say :) I have been trying to get on a stricked wedding diet the last few weeks, but the more I think about it the more I eat! haha. Anyways, here are some pictures to hold everyone down until i get some of the wedding! Cant wait to see you all soon!!!!

While driving home to California, I stayed at Chase's sisters house in Vegas and stayed the night. Their little girl ( my soon to be niece) is turning two so Chase and I got her a little mermaid swimsuit! She loves Disney just like me! Isn't she so cute in it!!! Thanks Linds and Chris for letting me stay with you!!

It was also my nephew Joshua's birthday, he turned three! We celebrated on Mothers Day with all the family. It was nice to have everyone there. I love you mom your the best!!! Welcome to the show-me State!!!

That's right ladies and gentlemen, Chase and I just found out this weekend that we are moving to Missouri, the show me state, after our wedding! We will be there this summer where I will be doing my internship and Chase will be selling Satellite. We will be living in a town called Wildwood, its about 16 miles outside of St. Louis. I am really excited for this adventure, to live somewhere new, and to just be away for the summer being newlyweds :). Since Chase left to go home to New Mexico, (I wont see him till the wedding :(..) I have been bored and decided to look up fun facts and things to do in Missouri, its getting me more excited to move there and not to mention it is so beautiful!! Chase loves Missouri, he went when he was little and is excited to show me around and take me to the church history sites which will not be to far away from where we will be living. Here are some funny facts I found out about Missouri...

-The ice cream cone was invented in 1904 in Missouri (this makes me love the state even more)

-St. Louis offers more free, major visitor attractions than any other place (what could be better then free fun??)

-It is unlawful to throw hard objects by hand in Missouri ( I just thought this one was funny)

-Dancing is strictly prohibited in Missouri (this has to be a joke)

-A milk man may not run while on duty in Missouri (they still those?)

-St. Louisans consume more barbecue sauce per capita than any other city in America ( Brooke and Lori are gonna love this one!)

-St. Louis was the site of the demonic possession incident that inspired the movie, "The Exorcist." ( ok I'm not gonna lie, this one really freaks me out..)

-It is the home of the biggest Pecan!! haha

Packing was actually fun this time around. Even though it was a long process going threw both of our stuff, it was fun combining all of it :). Chase had a great idea that we should buy these vacuum bags for our clothes, blankets, and anything soft that we can suck down and let me tell you they are amazing! We fit all of our clothes, blankets, and pillows in two bins!! they are amazing!! Here are some pictures of the long process..

Chase and I hang out with Michelle and her husband Jake almost every weekend. They are such a fun couple! Michelle and I have been friends since the day I moved to Utah and Jake and Chase just love each other! :) So its always a fun time when we get together. We usually hang out play games and keep it a chill but last night we decided to go out! We went to eat at this great hamburger place,Fudruckers. Chase and Jake got the 2/3 lb. burger and they still wanted more! We went to bed, bath, and beyond and enjoyed the massage chairs, then we went to sub zero ice cream, this place was amazing! You get to pick how much fat you want in your ice cream- like whole, low-fat, yogurt, or soy milk, then you pick your flavor of mix-ins, and they make it right there in front of you with liquid nitrogen, Its so gooood!! Chase of course got the Mountain Dew flavor, which i have to say was not bad. Then we went back to our house and watched the season finale and Rob and Big. I am so sad that show is over. All in All I just love our date nights with this couple!

Well Chase and I got some great news this week! Chase's sister, Lindsay, informed us last week that the baby coming in August is going to be a little girl! They already have one little girl, Madison, which happens to be the only grand baby on their side so this little girl will make two girls on their side. With my family my brother John and his wife Brooke have two little boys and my other brother Brad and his wife Kori are also expecting a baby in August! Last night Brad and Kori played a game in order to tell us the sex of their little bun in the oven, Chase and I played over the phone (I expect to see pictures soon!!). Kori is so creative and made this game with M & Ms. Chase and I had our own little bags and had to call and tell them what color we had more of ( either blue or pink) Chase and I both had blue but he wanted me to tell them we both had pink in order to throw the game off, he thought he was so funny :) but I did not have enough guts so I just told the truth :) So when our results came we all found out it was a boy!!!! So we are expecting a little niece and nephew in August and we could not be more excited!! The score so far is Davis- 3 boys and Hathaways - 2 girls. All of our siblings having babies will take the pressure off us so keep them coming guys:) haha Congrats you guys! We love u!

Well I have to admit that I have the best group of girlfriends! When I moved here five years ago I did not know anyone but I met most of these girls when I first moved here and I could not of been more blessed, they are like my family away from home! They are the most sincere and generous group of girls and I am so thankful for all they do! They threw me a shower this week and it was perfect. We played games, ate delicious food, and opened presents (I got some pretty fun stuff for the wedding night)! What could be more fun then that! The best part was the video of Chase. They asked him questions and Chase was hilarious with his answers :) I just loved it! Thanks again girls for such an amazing night! your the best!!! and for those who could not make it we missed u!Lind's ( she is getting married in June!) Old Places.. New Family

Growing up my family and about 5 other families would go to Brianhead Utah every March for a huge Ski trip. It is one of my favorite memories growing up. This year, after eight years of not going, my family decided to go again. It was just our family and the Clawsons and all the new comer's! It was weird to see everyone all grown up starting their own families.. All the little ones loved the snow! Marsha and my mom, as always, brought way to much food so Chase and I were lucky and got to bring the left over food back with us! We don't have to go grocery shopping for months now :) Thanks mom and Marsha! Chase and I have not skied for a long time so I was kind of timid to go but we caught on quick! The first day of snowboarding Chase was pretty sore and just sat in a Ice bath for 30 min. I could not believe he could do that it was crazy! Chelcie and I could hear him all the way downstairs it was pretty funny. But by the second day I would have to say Chase and I were pros on the slopes! Johnny and my dad went all day with out even a lunch break! We played games every night, had some funny conversations which I'm sure the boys hated while they all watched March Madness, and ate the best meals ever! It was such a beautiful weekend and so good to be with everyone. I wish we lived closer but hopefully we will keep this tradition going for years to come!

I believe it is safe to say that spring is coming! I'm so excited! I felt the need to change my background and music in honor of spring :) and the sun could not have come out for a better weekend. This weekend Chase and I dyed Easter eggs.. I love this activity because it reminds me of the good old days. The Finished Product

Just having the sun out makes my day and I could not of asked for a more beautiful day on Easter. Chase surprised me with a easter basket after church and gave me the movie Enchanted! For those of you who know me well, you know how much I love Disney movies! Since Chase and I are away from both our families we went to my Aunt Nancy's for the Easter Feast. She really does spoil us! It felt like a thanksgiving dinner, it was amazing, and you can't beat Aunt Nancy's treasure hunt! Chase was spoiled this year and got two easter egg treasure hunts, I gave him one this moring and my aunt gave us one that night. Brett at his favorite spot The ones who created this great night! Dreams.....

All growing up I have always been one to have a lot of dreams while I was sleeping. My sister and I shared a room when we were little and she always told me that I would talk in my sleep and my mom said she would sometimes catch me speaking different languages while I was sleeping. Sometimes I have dreams about Chase or my friends and family and I would be mad at them in my dream and when I wake up I would be mad at them most of the day. A couple times I called Chase in the morning to tell him I was mad at him because of something he did in my dream haha he still teases me about it ( but lets be honest, I cant stay mad at chase too long.. just look at those cute dimples!)

I think my next purchase is going to be a dream dictionary, I want to know what my dreams mean. Dreams have always been so confusing to me, why do we have them? where do they come from? why are most of them really weird? If anyone has good suggestions on dream books let me know!!!

On a different note, Chase and I are getting excited to meet up with my family next weekend for a ski trip and hopefully Chase's knee starts to feel better so he can hit the slopes! Growing up my family and our family friends would go to Brianhead every year and it has been a while since we all have been so next weekend we planned a Brianhead trip! I'm so excited to visit the old stomping grounds and be with the Clawsons and show Chase the slopes. The only thing that is missing to make this trip complete is Allen Kings ghost stories. I guess my dad or Buck will have to try to fill his spot :) Cant wait to see all of you soon!!!!

Saturday night we went up to my friend Michelle and her husband Jake's Cabin in Heber. We have all been enjoying the sunny weather so we decided to have a BBQ up there. It was kind of funny hiking threw the snow to get to the cabin to have a BBQ in March but it was an adventure. I have known Michelle and Lisa since I moved to Utah and it's always fun getting together with our significant others :) Jake was a master at the BBQ, Chase and I rocked it at Scategories and I was the ultimate champion in Perudo. If none of you have played Perudo before you have to get it! It's so fun, it basically a lying dice game and it's really fun with a big group. And what would be a better way to end the night with a chocolate fountain? It was the perfect recipe for the perfect night!

Well, the last couple of weeks have been pretty stressful. It was midterm week for Chase and I, so going to school, trying to find a new job ( I just lost the one I had), find a new place to move into when we get married, and planning a wedding all have been piled up onto our plates. Even though this is a really stressful time in our lives I am actually enjoying it. It is really fun planning my future with Chase. It's fun making decisions together and deciding what were going to do. So besides everything that is going on I could not be happier! We get our engagement pictures back this week so I'm excited! here is a little preview of some of the ones we have seen that are just us being goofy..Besides that we went and saw Spiderwick Chronicles this week. I love movies like this! they are just so entertaining and i love all the imagination in these types of movies! I am a sucker for fantasy movies, well actually I'm a sucker for any movie, I love them! To name a few movies along the fantasy category that I just LOVE are Stardust, Harry Potter, and Lord of the Rings. Also I have been watching the Planet Earth DVDs, if you have not seen these your missing out! They are so cool!!! well anyways, our lives are pretty boring right now so not much to catch up on so hope this post holds you over till something interesting happens!

I noticed that I have not put up any recent posts and realized that I am doing what I hate! So I have a lot to catch up on... One of my closest friends and old roommates had a baby shower last week and it was so much fun! I don't know why but for some reason I just love all the games at baby showers and bridal showers. Rebekah just is so cute pregnant! She is due in 5 weeks and I cant wait to see that little guy.

Also as everyone knows this week was Valentines. This holiday just always makes me happy. I have not had a Valentine since I have lived in Utah but I still always celebrated Valentines day with the girls, brownie mix, and a good movie, but this year I did have my Valentine :) I was so excited, so the morning of, I woke up and while Chase was at school I put a basket of goodies on his bed. I had school all day and he had school and work so we would not see each other till nine at night for his basketball game so I wanted to give him something he would have all day. I was kind of sad because we would not see each other but everything changed when I went home. I swear I have the most creative fiance in the world! He decorated my room with roses and balloons and made a little body of him out of a trash can and balloons so he could be with me while he was away! I just loved it! He also got me some cute shoes and great chic flicks.. It was a great day! After his basketball game he surprised me again with a heart shape pizza. All I can say is how much I love Chase and how lucky I am!

The next day Chase and I were off to California to take engagement pictures. We had so much fun hanging out with the fam and seeing my old roommate Tori and her husband Joe and little Max! They just moved into where my sister lives so now I can see them every time I come home! It was an eventful weekend filled with cake testing, meeting with the bands, registering, but it was all so fun! Well I finally had my first mental breakdown this semester. I knew it was coming because I have been so stressed out. So along came Wednesday night...After a long day at work and a long night of homework ahead of me I went home and turned on my computer.. only to find out it had crashed! I was calm at first because I was hoping that it could be fixed with out a problem. Chase was in class so I could not call him and tell him what happend. So I went to the next best thing.. The Geek Squad at Best Buy. I figured they could fix anything but I was wrong. First they tell me that its damaged beyond repair and that there is nothing they can do. Then they told me I could maybe get it fixed by their sister company but for 1,600 hundred dollars! and even then it might not get fixed. I totally lost it, I had all my homework on there. I was in the middle of a huge paper that was due thursday and all my pictures, music, wedding address, and so on were on there. So, I broke down in Best Buy, called my mom, and for some reason the moment I start talking to my mom I cry even harder. The people working there were so rude to me and treated me like dirt. I hate Best Buy now! Anyways, I took my computer because there was no way I was going to pay that much and went home and broke down. But Chase came to the rescue. He called his old roommate and asked if he could look at my computer. An hour later it was fixed! I was soooo happy! How is it that The Geek Squad could not fix it but a college student could?? Thank goodness I have Chase!! He always knows what to do in sticky situations.. So now I encourage everyone to make sure they back up everything on their computer because you never know what could happen! The Hero!!!!

As Chase, Lo, Chase's roommate Blake and I were driving around Provo we saw the biggest snowman ever! It was white when we first saw it then I think the college kids took some pinball's to it and some dirt. Only in Provo would people be bored enough to actually build this huge snowman! and actually take time to take a picture by it haha enjoy!

Since Chase and I got engaged I have not been in Utah for the Weekend! It was off to California for Christmas.. come back to Utah to go to school.. Fly back to California for my best friend Chelcie's wedding, go back to school and then Chase and I went to New Mexico this last weekend thanks to good old Martin! (Chase and I had no school because of Martin Luther King day). Let me tell you, I love being away from Utah right now! It has snowed every weekend and has been freezing. Chase and I were happy to get away and go spend time the with fam. This weekend was full of basketball games, eating, Nintendo playing, eating, board games, eating, cotton candy making, and some more eating (which i bet is really good for my wedding diet)! Now that's how you spend a weekend. It was so fun and were sad to be in Utah and back to reality!Bowling w/ Chaser on the Wii

Well everyone I found my camera chord! I was cleaning out my drawers in my room and it fell behind the drawer! I'm so excited! so now I will post some pictures from my Christmas break and of my two good friends weddings. You have to see this video of my nephews! push pause on the music play list so you can hear the video!

My amazing friend Michelle and Jake got married and they looked so good!!! It was such a fun wedding. Chase and I stayed in Utah till the 23 to go to both Michelle and McCall's wedding and it was worth it! It was so much fun! congrats you guys!

McCall and Ryan got married the day before and let me tell you.. I cant believe how amazing they both looked! It was freezing outside and they did not complain once! I'm so happy for both of them.

I got home the 23, just in time for Christmas Eve. Here is Joshua with my Dad. He just loves "bop". Joshua actually smiled really good in this picture! he usually squeezes his eyes shut when he smiles.

OK so planning a wedding when your in a different state is pretty hard! Especially when school started last week and for some reason all my teachers have decided to make this semester almost impossible! It is the second day of school and I have had three test and had to do a group project already! I also had to read 125 pages last night and take a test on it today so school is not making it any easier to plan a wedding! I have three appointments to look and try on dresses on Wednesday (Mom,I wish you were here to help with the dresses!) and Chase and I met with our invitation lady last night. Chase is a pro at this wedding stuff! He picked out all the colors for the invitation and did such a good job! I'm really lucky he has good taste and is there to help! I have most of the big things done, we got a reception place, a photographer, and our invitations, but if anyone has any ideas of where to find nice brown suits let me know!
