*Top Five things I love about October*

I love the change of colors when fall comes! In California you don't get to see that and it is one of my favorite things about Utah.I love just driving and looking at all the trees. One of my favorite drives is up to Sundance and around the Alpine loop. It is beautiful!

Lighting Fires and Candles is something i love to do when it starts getting colder. I love lighting our fireplace and snuggling with a blanket while reading a good book. I also always have a candle burning. My favorite right now is Pumpkin Spice by Salt City Candle.

Pumpkin carving is so fun! I always buy new pumpkin carving kits every year and have a pumpkin carving night with friends! i always save the seeds and put salt on them and cook them in the oven its the best! It makes me miss my mom, we would always carve pumpkins together.. of course hers would always turn out better then mine:)

I love Halloween decorations. I always have to stop myself from buying to many. When i went to New Mexico Chases' mom took me to this store called Hobby Lobby and the decorations were so cute! i wish i would of bought some because i have been looking everywhere for them! The only store that has come close to Hobby Lobby is Kirkland in the Mall in Orem. I love making my house festive it helps with the home sickness i get around the holidays.

My last but not least favorite things about October is all the cute little kids dressing up and Trick or Treating. I used to stay at home with my mom and help pass out candy just so i could see all the cute little costumes the kids were wearing. I love seeing how excited they get about the candy and how creative some of their costumes are!

Here is my Nephew Joshua last Halloween. He was an Elephant.. He was soo cute.. I love him! If he would of came to my door I would of gave him extra candy!

This is my best friend Chelcie and Me. I love this picture of us.. I was so sad because i was missing three dots on my costume and would not smile for any pictures! This is in front of a house we were trick or treating at and the guy who gave us the candy thought it was so funny that i would no smile because i was sad about my dots.. my mom must of laughing been laughing so hard on the inside!

~Yellowstone~

We went to Yellowstone this last weekend. We have been wanting to go for a while now and we finally had a chance to! We drove up Friday night after Chase won his football game and stayed in Idaho with some friends. We then took the whole day Saturday and toured Yellowstone. Even though it was snowing it was such a beautiful place! We went with Chase's longtime friend and roommate Blake and his girlfriend Meredith. I could not believe all the amazing things that Heavenly Father has created. I could not believe that the animals would get so close to our car! The bison were so funny they would just walk right in front of your car with out even a glance!

*Game Day*

I was not able to go to the BYU football game so Chase used my dads season tickets and went with his friend Chris, his cousin Rory and his wife. They had a great time! Chase was excited to be able to sit the whole game instead of standing the whole time with the student section:). They also enjoyed the tent at the game with the free food! They got BYU a win though which my dad will be happy about!

*Chase's Birthday!*

Chase turned 23 last Sunday! i tried to make his birthday as special as possible, so in the morning i went to his apartment and cooked him his favorite breakfast.. rice cakes! We then went to my cousin Kristen's ward. She just had two cute little twin girls, Ava and Sophie, and they were getting blessed. We then went back to my house and i cooked him dinner and he was so full he went and took a nap which was perfect because i threw him a surprise birthday party! all his good friends came over and we ate ice cream and cake. All in all i think it was a great day!

The meaning in a name

My sister Lori shared this website with me about the meaning behind your name so i though it would be fun to try out mine and Chase's name...

Dana
Bold "Irish"

Charming, witty, original and idealistic you have a creative and inventive mind with great intuition. Your broad vision, perceptive powers and compassion gives you an instinctive understanding of peoples needs. You are a natural leader who has a talent for inspiring and teaching others and always display fairness, honesty and integrity. You are always seeking a new challenge for your vast creative potential.
my parents totally nailed it with that one :) hahah and here is Chase's

Chase
Hunter "French"
Sensitive and emotional you are highly intuitive and have a wonderful imagination. The instinctive impressions which you receive about people and situations are usually accurate and mean that you can rarely be misled. You have healing and counselling abilities which can help to alleviate the suffering of others. Your loyalty, integrity and belief in life means that you are much admired and assured of many friends.
I should of had the sensitive and emotional part in mine! but they got it right with his loyalty and intergrity! he also is very instinctive... thanks Lori for the great idea!

*Our Home Towns*

Over Fourth of July Chase and I decided to take our first road trip together and go down to my home in California. We had an amazing time! The week went by way too fast! It was not even close to being long enough seeing as two of the days we were there i was sick with food poisoning. Chase was a real trooper and just sat with me all day taking care of me and did not complain once! Our week was jam packed! we went to the dodger game and sat next to Larry king and his wife! it was Chase's first time ever going to a professional baseball park so it was fun!

We then went and saw the play Wicked with my family. It is now one of mine and Chase's favorite plays. We listen to the soundtrack all the time.

On Fourth of July My sister, Lori, her Husband Haws, Chase and I rode our beach cruisers down Main Street in Huntington. It was a lot of fun to show Chase where i grew up but i would not recommend cruising down Main street on fourth of July.. it was crazy!
My little Nephew Joshua was in love with Chase! He was taking swim lessons and decided he did not like his swim teacher and he would not get in the water.. but thanks to Chase ( who used to teach swim lessons and was a life guard) he taught little Joshua how to swim! now whenever Joshua sees me he always asks where Chase is.. its too cute :)
Chase and I also had to hit up Disneyland! This is one of my favorite places. I loved it.. We had a lot of fun there and we got to go to the new California Adventure Park there. I have never been before but i highly recommend it. The Tower of Terror was freaky!

Instead of making the whole eight hour drive, Chase's sister and brother in law were nice enough to let us stay at there house in Vegas. It was a lot of fun staying up late with them and playing cards. His little niece Madison is also the cutest thing ever! she just turned one when we went to visit and is the entertainer of the family and it the cutest dresser!

We went to New Mexico at the end of August. It was so much fun. I have never been to New Mexico before and Chase's family was nice enough to show me around. They have the best food there! no wonder why Chase is always talking about the food from New Mexico.. His parents showed me the Aztec Ruins. This was a really neat experience. It was fun trying to squeeze through the little door ways and really funny to watch the boys try to get through them.I really loved being there and spending time with the Hathaway family.

*Easter*

On Easter morning as i was going out the door to go to church i found a little present on my door step, It was a Easter Basket from Mr. Chaser, here is a picture of the basket Chase got me.

It was an amazing day and i also surprised him with his own little Easter basket..
We also had some friends over and we dyed some Easter eggs.. even though we were both away from our families we had a lot of fun spending it together.
