Winter Wonderland

Well it finally snowed! I woke up Saturday morning and there was at least three feet of snow outside. I was so excited! I just love the snow. I called Chase to tell him the exciting news and he did not seem as thrilled as me haha. So I went downstairs blared Christmas music and drank hot apple cider.. it was the best. Chase and I decided that it would be so pretty to go to Temple Square so we invited our friends Rebekah and Nick to come with us. It was such a pretty night, I loved all the snow on the trees even though it was FREEZING it was worth it. We then had a Gingerbread decoration party.. it was actually a lot harder then it looks! I was having a really hard time getting my house to stay up. It's sad to admit this but Chase's turned out a lot better then mine. I love this time of the year.. it is my favorite. Just looking outside at the snow and all the decorations and lights makes me so happy.. Happy Holidays!

BeforeIn BetweenAfter.. Chase, Dana, Logan, Rebekah, and Lisa.. Rebekah's won by a long shot

How is it that I can love the snow so much but HATE the cold?!? In my perfect world it will snow with out being totally freezing! Looks like a fun weekend. Making the ginger bread house looks fun! I love getting all messy :)

I love the middle picture (of you and your mess)! I love Temple square with all the lights. This is a great time of year. WHile you guys got snow, we enjoyed rain--not quite the same effect.

I am sure there is a gingerbread making class somewhere in Provo that you could take to improve your skills. Can't wait to see you at Christmas. Have fun with finals!!

how fun! I so miss going to see the temple lights in SLC this time of year. and also throwing our annual white elephant gift party that we always did at the deer valley condo, eating treats, drinking hot chocolate, eating on main street, the sledding down the ski slopes, and then taking a nice jacuzii afterwards. thsoe were the days, and I so miss that right now. so im living through you right now. its really cold here now too, which makes it fun, and want to be warm and festive now too. you look so cute in your pictures. what are you guys doing for christmas this year??

Wasn't Temple Square beautiful? We took mom there while she was staying with us, but there wasn't any SNOW on the night we went. It was still really pretty and mom loved it! I tried to talk her into staying for Christmas, but she said she had too much to do at home. I know she's in good hands there...everyone in your family is always sooo good to her! Merry Christmas Dana!
